On a prominent hill overlooking the regional town of Tweed Heads, development of the houses on Razorback Road was always going to draw attention and debate, and the project was under considerable challenge when Dickson Rothschild became involved. Nigel Dickson was engaged as Expert Witness at Land and Environment Court. Dickson Rothschild also took on the role of Architect to redesign the building with the simple design principle of creating two quality residences that blended with the tropical landscape to better suit the character of the town.

Rooflines were adjusted; greater separation of buildings introduced to reduce bulk and allow a visual corridors behind; garages were repositioned; and materials reselected for a better fit. Particular focus was given to outdoor spaces to coordinate with the special landscape context whilst also featuring a dramatic swimming pool. Dickson Rothschild also led extensive visual assessments and produced Expert Reports to communicate the design intent and minimal impact on the neighbourhood.
